Actually, while the price was cut drastically, it was cut to the point that the balance was pretty equal for awhile between the 3 suppliers. Once Teva came on line the price had to erode appropriately so that the pie could be split four ways.

Now the key comes down to economics. If You would list the producers by their costs it would probably show that Amphastar is the lowest followed by Teva, Sanofi and lastly Sandoz.

Sanofi probably has little desire to sell or invest in Enox because it reduces their overall returns.
