i am still recovering from the debate last night. it was reality TV at its low ebb. and speaking of a low point, Jebya! stunk the place up.

Right out of the chute, their first question almost made me gasp, and i am not a serial gasper. The CNBC Junior Varsity started throwing firecrackers into the group of paranoids. Which allowed them to huddle up, get mad, and avoid any actual discussion of what their plans were to make their claims of magical things happen. They turned clumsy questioning into their proof that journalism as a profession is dead, buried, and composted. Except for FOX, and even Faux has got the stare-down from trump. I was almost embarrassed for the moderators, who seemed to come at the hapless idiots in waves, and even republicans could see that some of the questions were hostile and puzzling.

Trump showed that he could modulate and not act up... i suspect horse tranquilizers were involved, as Dr. Ben probably shared some of his 'script pills with him. Ben's eyes look like he just bonged some northern california sinsimella, and his ideas seem to match up with that hypothesis.

Cruz was his usually vile, nasal self, always playing the role of victim. If he has an older brother, i suspect old rafael got daily beatings as a child, so severe that he turned to religion and republicanism as an escape from reality.

The one thing that i have not figured out is why the RNC scheduled the debate to occur during a World Series game. What kind of a pinko unamerican group does THAT? Oh, i guess the Kochs don't follow baseball, or that would never have happened.

After awhile, they got bored with ragging on each other and started in on hillary. How original.

The discussions of the deficit and debt were epic. About as insightful as the average teabagger poster on IHUB. Naturally, no one pointed out how much of the deficit is just servicing of the debt run up by the last bush. To them, it is just a vehicle for trashing obama for the benefit of the other ignorant people who need their prejudices reinforced constantly.

But without trump acting like a schoolyard bully bragging about how much lunch money he has stolen from others, it was all in all, forgettable. And i didn't see a one that hillary or bernie couldn't pee into the dirt in a direct debate.
