Legendary Actor Robert Redford Slams Carly Fiorina: She’s An Extreme ‘Horror’

Sorry, Carly, it looks like hell would freeze over before you ever get an endorsement from actor Robert Redford.

Ever since becoming the rising star of the GOP presidential field last month, Fiorina destroyed her blooming popularity and her already weak credibility by repeatedly insisting that the deceptively edited Planned Parenthood sting videos feature footage of a fetus being torn apart to harvest fetal tissue.

In fact, no such footage exists in any of the videos, and Fiorina even drew a rebuke from Fox News for perpetuating a clear lie in an effort to gin up conservative support for her candidacy.

But Fiorina is not only an anti-abortion fanatic, she also opposes paid maternity leave, has suggested she supports cutting Social Security and Medicare, opposes the minimum wage, supports waterboarding and starting a fight with Iran, wants to repeal Obamacare, and opposes same-sex marriage.

Furthermore, Fiorina laid off 30,000 employees during her tenure as CEO of HP, and despite the company performing below expectations, she received a cushy $21 million severance package when she was forced to resign.

So it’s really no surprise that Redford isn’t a big fan of Fiorina.

During an interview with Uproxx about his upcoming film Truth, Redford told Mike Ryan that Fiorina has only become more extreme since he first met her and that she “is really a horror.”

“What I think is interesting, what’s beginning to happen: Out of the box, Trump, Trump, Trump. And out of the box, Bush is going to be the top guy. Now, Bush is going down and somebody is coming up. There’s Carly Fiorina, who is really a horror.”

He then goes on to explain why he feels that way.

“I was trying to get support for Sundance from HP. And she came, so I had some dealings with her at that time and drew an impression, but she’s become even more extreme in the last few years. And now it’s getting revealed. There’s an article today that really takes apart what she’s saying and what’s she’s doing and what she claims, and it’s undoing all of it. And so I think you’re beginning to see the unraveling.”

Carly Fiorina just got burned. Now we await her temper tantrum.
