Are Institutional Investors an important key to market action?
Remember last week's posting when we showed that the Selling trend for Institutional Investors was actually going down?
A continuous reduction of selling means that Institutional Investors take their downside pressure off the market and allow the retail investor to push the market up.
Today, the question is what happened after last week's posting? The answer is that Institutional Investors have continued their non-selling and have allowed the market to move higher (see today's chart below). As the market continues to move higher, the NYA is now starting to encounter an overbought condition, so its days may be numbered.
