I came back off my filter again to see what the hub hub was. Oh, someone is accused of being someone. Hmmm....well, of course it is not a brain specific vaccine. That was not my point, and you know it. They went from gentle to more aggressive therapies. IMHO, they stayed with DCVax-L for the brain for the reason I told somebody at length some time ago.

1. It was thought back then to be an immunoprivelged environment that would present less chance of an autoimmune reaction.

2. The therapy was used on an operable tumor, so there was that added safety of removing part or most that might excessively swell. (They never remove all of the tumor cells with surgery).

3. They stayed with L because, as you of all people know and have said, it is less likely to cause massive swelling then Direct..

DCVax-Direct can cause fluid retention, bring in massive amounts of immune cells, and otherwise potentially aggravate, therefore it is first being used outside the cranium.

They had to stay with DCVax-L in the cranium until the trial completed/succeeded. This is first and foremost a safety trial and second an efficacy trial.
