Honestly, I would have thought the exact opposite.

"You lie!!!", the definition of "Bullshit!!!" is actually a direct attack of the poster, but "LMFAO" as in "LMFAO!!! that is really funny!!!!" is about the post.

No doubt the problem must be with me, and now I know better for the future.

However, most people wouldn't use that phrase in front of a young child. Most people would be shocked if their own young child responded to them with "BULLSHIT!!!". Hence, most people innately think "bullshit" is a rude vulgarity.

It's undeniably rude, and often meant to be rude. When used in that way, it is purposefully offensive.


Most dictionaries agree that "bullshit" is vulgar.
