Actually yes, the FDA orphan drug designation alone gives the company 7 years of exclusive marketing rights in the U.S. after the treatment gains FDA approval. And they will get 10 years of exclusive marketing rights in Europe when the EMA awards orphan drug designation to Pharmacyte. Everyone knows that you obviously can't market a treatment until it's approved lol.

And to your other comment on people actually getting paid, well, duh! When you're consulting and working on what will be a multi-billion dollar treatment, you're certainly not going to do it for free for anyone!!! But, you won't do it at all if you don't think it will work and would potentially ruin your reputation.

And to your comment on Dr. Von Hoff working on another treatment that is not Cell in a Box, well, duh! That is what he does. You don't gain the title World Renowned by working on one thing at a time or sitting around eating bon bons.
