One more thing on Isis. I think many (not all) media outlets and so-called experts are giving Isis too much credit as far as how easily they can be defeated. I think they can be defeated. Not eliminated altogether but defeated and removed from most of the areas its captured rather easily with a concentrated effort. Russia has the ability to do this. I don't believe the US ever really tried to do this. I believe we (the USA) pepper them here and there but never really tried or wanted to defeat them. I believe this administration wants to keep them just strong enough so that its civil war with Assad can continue and drag out.
I think Putin intends to crush all of the anti-Assad resistance in Syria and he has the firepower to do it.
