I would suspect that this being a voltmeter it would follow the laws of electronics and physics I thought about you putting a wire on there. That would be shorting the circuit. How about if you put A photo resistor And a dimmer switch And then use no light, to full light On a Photo Resistor I'm sure that would prove that this is truly a voltmeter
