Even Planned Parenthood Haters Hated The House Oversight Hearing
"This hearing is why everyone hates Washington, D.C."

WASHINGTON -- House Republicans took turns bashing the head of Planned Parenthood on Tuesday, but the theatrics did not appease abortion critics.

Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards appeared before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Tuesday, her first testimony since an anti-abortion group released heavily edited videos purporting to show Planned Parenthood officials selling fetal parts for profit. Congressional Republicans have been seeking to remove all federal funding from the group in the wake of the videos.

While the committee spent four hours grilling Richards on the group's spending priorities, conservative critics say the questions were overly focused on politics rather than an actual investigation. Representatives accused the group of spending money on "lavish" travel and parties, and questioned Richards' salary.

Can you imagine if this band of incompetent morons had been in charge of prosecuting the Nuremberg trials? My goodness what a farce.

Does @jasoninthehouse, @GOPoversight even know how disappointed people are in him?

Say what you want, this GOP freak show of a Planned Parenthood hearing is embarrassing. Can we have actual experts testify, please?

These hearings are a designed failure.

No offense, Washington, D.C., but this hearing is why everyone hates Washington, D.C.

Democrats didn't spend the Watergate hearings giving speeches. They dug. Act like lawyers. https://twitter.com/seanmdav/status/648872214771671040

Reading poor reviews of GOP panelists' questions in Planned Parenthood hearing. Ill-prepared & uncoordinated. Inexcusable.

Abortion has for more than 40 years been a make or break issue for much of the right. GOP showed up to the PP hearing largely unprepared.
