They had a couple of quarters when they had a profitable business model, but mostly they were there to pay Trey and cronies a salary for running the company into the ground.
Sold $150 million plus in investment for $60 million and are now slowly paying it out to themselves under the guise of an R&D business.

It will be R&D until the company files bankruptcy.

Competing is intense among humans, and within a group, selfish individuals always win. But in contests between groups, groups of altruists always beat groups of selfish individuals.
