Transparent SolarWindow Promises to Transform Every Skyscraper into a Solar Collector
Solar power is currently one of the slow-evolving technology and yet a very necessary one for green city development. Recently it has been discovered that there has been a major advancements in solar technology, ’solar glass’. This solar glass has the potential to revolutionalize the construction industries and turn every building into a solar collector regardless of the building’s size, form, shape as well as location.
Researchers at Michigan State University, UCLA as well as other institutions are working on solar cells that could provide a greater portion of light to pass through the glass and maintain a higher degree of transparency while collecting solar energy.
