Remember cnes and the meters?
What spiggy and drew did was look for something that is already out there and came up with a phony lookalike to use as bait. Or tried to make real meters (I doubt it) and found out it was easier to sell the concept of a company than actually spend money running a real company. Almost all pink sheet shells operate this way, some use fake mines, oil contraptions, media streaming devices...etc. These crooks take pride in actually building prototypes, buy defunct buildings or mines so sheeple people can see and touch something they can believe is real...
At the same time years ago I picked up cnes, I bought adot, which used fake addresses and clients to look like a up and coming LED large sign advertising manufacturer. Of course they lied and used real companies advertising techniques and PR's as their own. Adot address resolved down to a deserted gas station in a far west desert. I knew those big electronic bill boards were coming, I just DD'd the wrong company.
Live and learn.
