GRESHAM, Ore. -- Officials say a man attempting to get out of a traffic ticket made a fake shots fired call to 911.
Salvador Sanchez-Buenrostro was pulled over by Gresham Police around 1 a.m. in the area of NE Kane and NE Olvera. An officer found out Sanchez-Buenrostro's license was suspended, meaning he would only receive a ticket.
While the officer was writing that ticket, a man only identifying himself as Roberto said he heard shots fired around 190th and Stark. The location of the call was quickly tracked to the same area where Sanchez-Buenrostro was pulled over.
Eventually, Sanchez-Buenrostro admitted to making the false call.
He was given a traffic ticket, and arrested for improper use of 911.
