Averaging down is not necessarily a good strategy. Often times, there is a reason a stock is headed south. If this were paying a higher dividend, I might agree that jumping in early can't hurt you, however, considering there are countries that want to break us through oil prices, this just may be the wrong time to gamble on it.
Not saying you are wrong, just saying you MAY be wrong.
I make a living by buying stocks headed up, not down.

Just my opinion, of course.
