Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, we have had Costco and Price Club for over 20 years, and Costco is a great place to shop for food and much more. Trader Joes is good place to go for unusual fine food, too. There are many, many more of these than Whole Foods Markets. Many fine smaller stores, though.

The move up I suspect was based much more on this PR:

Volume was not spectacular, and the trust issue still looms. Mid 31s could be seen easily.
