In just 3 years, Alamo City Comic Con has grown to be a national contender for one of the largest cons in the United States. According to their organizer, Apple de la Fuente, this is the country’s 7th largest comic con. And their lineup of artists and celebrities is impressive. PopCultHQ is beyond excited to be covering this Texas-sized con starting tomorrow, Friday, September 11, 2015.

Here are highlights on the schedule:

This year, several VIP tickets are available. The Stan Lee Excelsior package allows for an autograph and photo-op for the man himself, Stan Lee, reserved seating for his panel, and an Stan Lee/Alamo City Comic Con exclusive.
They offer 2 other VIP ticket packages: The Walker Experience which gives attendees the chance to meet Michael Rooker, Lennie James, Ross Marquand, Jon Bernthal, and Lawrence Gilliard, Jr!
The Sons of Anarchy VIP package includes autographs from on Perlman, Kim Coates, Ryan Hurst, and Mark Boone Jr.
Kidz Planet-an entire section for kids! Alamo City Comic Con have teamed with The Witte Museum, the San Antonio Zoo, the San Antonio Public Library and others to offer attractions along with inflatable houses and interactive events
NEW this year is the Alamo City Film Festival. It will take place right next door at the Lila Cockrell Theater. Watch films like “Star Trek: Renegades”
After-party with DJ Kristian Nairn (AKA Hodor from “Game of Thrones”) at The Korova on September 12.
Q & A with Edward James Olmos on Sunday at 2:00pm
AMC’s Comic Book Men panel on Sunday at 3:00pm
Cosability: Disabled and Proud panel which will showcase comic-book figures with special needs, in hopes that soon-to-be cosplayers will be inspired, Saturday 1:00pm
Iron-Man artist, Bob Layton, recounts his career and adventures with “Old Shell Head” on Friday, 3:00pm.
Chew: An India Comic Phenomenon: Creators John Layman and Rob Guillory discuss creating one of the most popular independent comics in the last several years as it hits issue #50 Friday at 5:00pm
Urban Beardster: Beard & Mustache Competition. Title says it all.
Stan “The Man” discusses his long career from the beginnings of Marvel Comics all the way to becoming “Cameo King” of Marvel Films.
