The SEC needs to go after the lawyers that write opinion letters knowing full well they are allowing frauds to be sold to the public.
That's what I wanna see, the sleezy-anything for a buck attorneys being held accountable - perp walk them.
But the SEC and FINRA are also to blame because they allow attorneys who have been deemed unfit to represent public companies continue to represent public companies..... get rid of the lying, cheating, stealing attorneys and part of the problem will fix itself. Diane and Owen come to mind. Any attorney taking shares as compensation should be jailed IMO. Look up the junk those 2 do letters for.
A good place to start but doubt after years and years of the same thing I expect the SEC to only occassionally throw a suspension at the bad actors but never jail time.
