Good will help them with their penetration into the iPhone / iPad corporate market but comes at a significant draw on their cash reserves making this their biggest purchase ever.

In the long run, it may be god for them.

The new phone this fall could be more important if they can find a way to include google services. If it is just an Android phone with no access to google services then they might as well save their efforts for now. It is proving more difficult for them than they thought but it is only a software problem to them so it will be solved eventually.
