The asians found out that Hop-On would have to be the distributor or actually make the product to take advantage of the Microsoft license that manufacturers can get for little or no cost right from Microsoft.

Well, any asian manufacturer would see that CEO Peter Michaels, Hop-On, and Hop-On's USACIG sub have been sued for taking close to $100K cash from a customer and not delivering product or returning the cash.
