This is why the optimistic tech commentaries matter. They persuade folks that the use of the TCG architecture is inevitable. They make people think we are just one standard away from perfection. They tantalise a person into believing that trust is a hardware sprinkle of magic from mass enterprise usage. But the technology roadmap has no timeline and the destination is far from inevitable.

The architecture remains narrowly deployed if you think in terms of types of device. Think of MS enterprise laptops and you have the main large TCG base of devices that Wave is targetting. Forget mobile at the moment. And desktops operate within long established fixed networks. Nothing Apple. Nothing Android.

It may be that TCG is a total dud in the enterprise market. It may simply be a consumer service operated by the OS providers for themselves and their users.
