Im thinking that the age we are living in will be known as the age of anxiety and worry. Anxiety is the result in our life when our hopes are centered on anything short of God and His will for us and worry seems to creep in when our faith tends to be a little lacking. Yes, im thinking when we start to take our eyes off of Jesus that is the opportunity for satan to move in with his favorite tool... discouragement...and he helps us heap a whole mess of anxiety and worry upon ourselves! In so many ways...maybe even most ways...we really do have less to worry about than any generation before us. We have more stuff...we have life easier...the worldly resources are almost unlimited..yet..there is more than enough anxiety and worry to go around.
God has never promised to remove all our difficulties, troubles and problems. We know from time to time that life can be and will most likely be hard. However, when we trust God and stand on the promises that He has spoken to us. There really is no reason to be anxious or to worry about anything....the Bible...Jesus...tells us that over and over so it must be true...Right?! There truly is genuine peace and joy through Jesus Christ no matter what we are facing. Let us keep our eyes centered on Jesus instead of ourselves and our anxiety and worries and see 1st hand the peace and joy that Jesus will place in our hearts!
