We do not know the costs, markups, income to LQMT etc. but the knife
established that a complex product can be injection molded of liquid metal in one or two steps(with the caveat that it still had to be hand finished which I did not expect). Now that the MA6 experience is out there, with apparently not a lot of sales at $260 it does not add to the idea that this is disruptive technology stronger than titanium, more corrosion resistant than stainless, cheaper to manufacture, and so on. The next step has to be that it is economical. So I wonder, what would the actual cost be to produce the MA6, in volume. If it is more than a few bucks (raw material and machine time) we have a problem. There are any number of other knives that do as well if not better at a fraction of the cost.
