We all know the challenge should expect no answer, why would Google reveal exactly where the are in the race and give the competition a heads up? Just like we will not get the answer on certain things we seek from EPGL until its "time"

EPGL rejected first offer from CooperVision, we would already have a deal if they took a weaker offer months ago, EPGL said it was unfair publicly and said either come back to the table and lets talk about a fair compensation for our work or we will take this to next level in the courts.

CooperVision took it seriously, negotiations resumed a day before deadline EPG set.
