TREND1,

First, I don't mind that you closed your Test2 trade. So don't get bent out of shape with what I write below.

But I am going to be the bearer of bad news, and bust your baloon.

Being a person who likes details, and who likes computerized backtesting of systems, I have to stick to the detailed definition of any particular trading method.

Your trade was, and still is, defined as a BB(5,2) trade.

Those numbers are daily numbers, not intraday numbers. To test the system, or even to trade the method as defined, one must use only End Of Day (EOD) numbers.

The numbers you see during the day are extrapolated estimates -- a guess -- of what the indicator will be at the end of the day if nothing changes for the rest of the day. If you adhere to the trade rule as defined, with EOD numbers, you cannot use those guesses to close the trade.

Even the chart (snapped intraday) that appears in your own message today does not show price touching the upper BB(5,2) line. That is likely because you took the image after you decided (on an intraday basis) to dump the trade.

There is no touch of BB(5,2) in the image below either (so technically, you cannot judge the trade yet even though you ended it):

(As it was defined, you are still in the trade. You cannot even draw a horizontal line from yesterday's upper BB and close the trade. Since it was a no-real-money trade, I suggest you continue it as defined.)
