Recently flying out of TUS the TSA was doing a swab test on the hands of everyone passing through the TSA Pre-check line. An agent swabbed the palms of both my hands and ran the test. They were using a Smiths machine so I made a comment that they were still using Smiths and the agent said, "Yeah, we're still using old technology here." I told him they'll be getting new machines soon and he responded, "So we've been told." So, it seems the agents on the front line are aware the 220's are on their way.
