To tell you the truth ...

I'm glad you asked.

I don't have a clue how to interpret that data. And neither does anybody else here.

In fact, I can't even tell you how much of the short volume is the initiation of a short position, or the closure of a short position -- short volume goes both ways. And I can't tell you how many of those short positions are a trade in and of themselves, or if they are more simply a hedge by somebody who owns a lot of stock and is seeking protection (you know, insurance).

What I can tell you is that for any stock, technical analysis matters and fundamental analysis matters.

And, since MannKind's fundamentals literally stink, and any future is based only on faith, all that matters is technical analysis. Promises and potential and dreams mean nothing. So trade the chart and not your feelings.

If you invest, I hope it works out for you; but whatever you do, don't become a shameless pumper. And if you fail, don't blame market manipulation -- blame yourself.

In other words, in whatever you do in any endeavor, you are the sole person responsible. So take credit when you win, and search your soul and take credit when you loose.
