Stocks who release patent news go up big even in this market...

Acorda Therapeutics Inc. shares jumped in the extended session Monday after the biotech avoided a patent challenge of its multiple sclerosis drug.

Acorda (ACOR) shares surged 31% to $38 after the U.S. Patent Office denied a petition (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/acorda-shares-jump-after-ampyra-patent-challenge-denied-2015-08-24)from hedge fund manager Kyle Bass's Coalition for Affordable Drugs, challenging the patentability of the company's drug Ampyra.
