Don't feel bad as we are not the only one's in this boat. Eagle 1, that has been a while back and this is my take and others that remember more than I or need to correct me please feel free to do so. I should add that I do not know him nor have ever met him. Back in the day around 08' he was EXOBOX, he seemed to be plugged in to the company and was the main cheerleader. I remember he took some flack, just remembering, that EXOBOX had a show & tell I think in the Dallas area and the rumor was that he was paid somehow relating to that event, that has been a while back and I could be wrong but do remember something like that happened. Best I recall there was back and forth and when the dust settled Eagle explained enough to maintain his standing, might add this was the only time he was involved in a dust up that I am aware of. Have had this stock going on eight (8) years and he was the main poster back in the day. You are correct, when the bottom started rusting out he slowly backed away and wound up fading altogether. I think he was a true believer, and knew more than he let on, I also think he was closer to the company as well. Not to long ago he showed up once more and sounded like Eagle One of past so we know he still lurks. As for the main points of your post, and knowing he is still around, I'll punt to his end of the field. I, along with others, would like to see how many posters of the past are still with us and tell us what they are up to now. Can't speak for all, but my take is to live and let live, all are welcome.
