Although I do not much care for contacting Barry, I went ahead and followed your suggestion. I did so because I truly believe the idea is a winner and it can be set up and working in a matter of weeks. Which means the stock will start moving out and I can get out.

But I see three reasons why he would not do it and three reason why he would.

The three reason why he will not are:

1.) It appears to be a lot of work. Setting up a website. Contacting all these bars and bands. The organization of the competitions. Setting up a distribution warehouse. I have my doubts he would be up to all of this.

2.) He is so accustomed to doing things the easy way and just raking a little bit off the top from investors that running a real business and having the scheme not work might be more than he is willing to risk.

3.) Although he likes money, he may dislike me even more and might not be willing to do it just because the idea came from me.

The reasons for doing it:

1.) Although it might appear to be a lot of work, it will be easy once it is all set-up. Once he has lined up the bars and the bands, it will not be that hard to schedule the events. Both setting up the warehouse and building the website are a headache at first, but they will almost run themselves later.

2.) If it works it will make a lot of money. And the concept can them be applied to other big cities.

3.) His niece can profit greatly from it. She appears to have enough talent to win competitions of this nature. It could launch her career big time. In an industry where so many with talent never make it due to the competition, it could be a big step up the ladder. Even if she fails to make the big time as a musicians, there could be a very handsome business at work. If this one reason doesn't get him moving, nothing will.
