I think we agree as to what the product is. It's flavored tequila. I was just speaking in terms of what you are allowed to call it on a label. My point was that I don't think they could get away with labeling it "Besado Tequila," or "Besado Tequila Platinun/Oro," they had to call it "Besado Platinum" and/or "Besado Oro" and then describe it as tequila infused with various other ingredients. It's an annoying, lawyerly distinction, but I bet it was brought up.

By way of analogy, if I made a new flavored scotch drink that involved me importing authentic scotch (i.e., from Scotland), then infusing it with various erotic stimulants and bottling it here in the US, I bet I wouldn't be allowed to call it "Kiltlifter Scotch." I would instead have to call it something like "Kiltlifter Blonde" and then describe it elsewhere on the label as "Premium Scotch, lightly infused with Maca Root extract, Daimiamina Liquer Flavor, and Rohypnol, and other natural flavors"...
