If you look back at the July 23rd video at 1:53 you'll see a Hydra Cyclone water/sand separator. I am not positive, but I think that recycles water back through the circuit.

At the end of that same video it shows how gold collects in the first 3-4 rows in the sluice box. So I assume it is a manual process to remove the mats from the sluice and then collect the gold. I also guess that means they have to turn the circuit off to do so, which would mean a shutdown until the mats are returned to the sluice box.
