Group Behind Planned Parenthood Hoax Repeatedly Broke The Law, Under Investigation
Right-wingers have been foaming at the mouth ever since a rabidly anti-choice group started posting deceptive and heavily edited videos of Planned Parenthood officials and suggesting that the women’s health organization is “selling baby parts” for profit. Obviously this is untrue, but of course the “stop abortion at all costs” crowd doesn’t care about that. Well, it turns out that what these people are doing is not only dangerous to women and, of course, downright crazy– it is also criminal.
The “Center for Medical Progress” is the nutty organization behind those now-infamous videos. Well, a suit has been filed against them, courtesy of the National Abortion Foundation, to keep them from making videos of meetings public. The restraining order prohibiting the release of the footage has been granted. From RH Reality Check:
“The lawsuit names CMP as a defendant as well as BioMax Procurement Services, the fake company created in order to deceive people working for Planned Parenthood and other organizations. CMP’s leader, David Daleiden, is also named in the lawsuit, as well as founding member Troy Newman, who is the president of the radical anti-choice organization Operation Rescue.
“When questioned about his involvement with CMP, Newman told RH Reality Check that he was proud of the work Daleiden has done at CMP.
“’Over the past three years I have offered advice and counsel to someone who has become a very good friend,’ Newman said via email. ‘But this is just the beginning, we have moles and spies deep inside the abortion cartel. And at a time of our choosing, we will release more damning evidence of the abortion cartel’s illegal, ghastly, and repugnant butchery.’”
“Butchery?” Really? Wow. These people really will stop at nothing in their efforts to control the lives and bodies of women everywhere. Well, this time, they really did go too far. Members of this nutty organization actually used fraudulent driver’s licenses in order to get into Planned Parenthood and get information they otherwise wouldn’t be able to get anywhere near. So, that makes them criminals. Thankfully, we can all see what these imbeciles look like, courtesy of The Huffington Post:
RH Reality Check explains that the reasoning behind the licenses is so that these people can pose as pro-choicers and get into all kinds of meetings and other functions that only those within the organization would be able to access:
“The anti-abortion activists who gained access to highly sensitive areas of Planned Parenthood clinics and other related organizations over the past three years are facing at least two lawsuits after they allegedly used fake identification cards and created a fake company in order to film their targets without consent.
“Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation claim that David Daleiden, the founder of Center for Medical Progress, used a fake ID displaying the name ‘Robert Daoud Sarkis’ to circumvent their security precautions and gain access to the groups’ annual meetings and facilities.
The CMP has released four videos so far — and claims to have many more on the way — that show Planned Parenthood doctors discussing reimbursement costs for the donation of fetal parts for medical research. In the first video, a woman, who is yet to be identified, can be heard speaking to Planned Parenthood doctor Deborah Nucatola. That woman apparently used a fake ID with the name ‘Susan Sarah Tennenbaum.’
Well, it appears that these people didn’t realize that what they are doing is criminal, or if they did, they didn’t believe that anyone would actually point that fact out and take legal action. Either way, it seems that they are in actual trouble now, which is a good thing.
This is the difference between pro-choicers and anti-choicers. Anti-choicers operate through fear-mongering, the spreading of misinformation and lies, spying and other underhanded trickery, and even going so far as to break the law in order to make people live by their twisted “values” and version of reality.
On the other side of that, those in the pro-choice camp operate with transparency and through education, and have the sense to know that abortion is not a black and white issue, and further, that outlawing it will not stop it. All outlawing abortion does is stop SAFE and LEGAL medical procedures. Illegal abortion ends in death. That’s the truth of the matter.
Now, in light of these revelations, who are you going to trust?
