I upgraded a Gigabyte Brick P.C. which is like a NUC while on vacation with a terrible adsl connection the process took a couple of days but so far the actual install has gone well, maybe slightly more snappy but I had not done any major driver updates in a about a year. Overall in desktop mode it's basically like a pleasant windows7 experience, I can see those holding on to their old windows 7 P.C.s having no reason to wait anymore for a new P.C., if Windows 10 allows you to add a new SSD, all those with HDD windows7 P.C.s should get a new SSD and the free windows10 upgrade.
