Thanks very much for your fast and awesome reply JJ. For all we know Google could be cooperating in the background although I doubt it. We also don't even know if ZTE provided it to the right people at Google although you gotta think all the legal/patent protection folks at this firms know each other. As a non lawyer, I think it's fare game by the NY court. Not sure about SEC but the information is clearly material to the public registrant VRNG and ZTE is alleged to have tried to manipulate the stock price. I would need to look at insider trading rules with respect to the tipper etc. but it's a complicated area to say the least. I think Google would look really bad if they didn't cooperate if it came down to this, especially if US regulators or even FINRA get involved. I also wonder if VRNG is putting on the heat to ZTE's council to get them to advise ZTE to settle or to get them to resign which would imply ZTE did commit an illegal act. Not like a law firm can't represent a guilty party but why would you want to represent a firm that is not honest with you? I'm of course assuming they are qualified enough to ask their client the right questions. Due to the motions filed in the other courtroom down south who knows what they were thinking or if they were just following ZTE 's instructions. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of the surprises. This is turning out to be some soap opera. I sure hope ZTE's own FS can be relied upon. Could be pretty scary for us if their financial position was materially overstated. ZTE is obviously spending a lot of time and money fighting all this. I don't know what that dollar amount is but its got to be adding up not to mention the assumed lost sales due to patent infringement.
Oh well.
Thanks again
