What's funniest is they are only seeking to raise $20,000. That won't even get them through the earliest phase of pre-trial motions, let alone one deposition in discovery. Heck, just the attorney travel and lodging/meals expenses for even ONE out-of-state depo alone plus prep time, transcripts, reporter/videographer costs can top $20K.

They're about 10x too low even to bare-bones it to a trial date.

Those defendants have no idea what a world of hurt they are in for.

$20,000? May as well beg quarters on the street. They'll still be WELL over 90 percent short of their legal expenses just to make it to a trial date.

I'll bet $20k is just the initial evergreen retainer amount.
