Probably because it is not his equipment. He conned another outfit to let him take pictures and video of it. Makes me curious what that other "outfit" is, and who they are.

Here's a possible clue....the road to the Alvarado Mine runs through the old dairy property, right by the shed that contains the blue milling equipment, and then leads to the mine half a mile up the road. I don't believe this is coincidence. The Alvarado Mine has been the site of numerous scams over the years and is currently being promoted by Craig Parkinson:

I wonder if Joel has hooked up with Parkinson? Funny how all the scammers seem to be connected by only a couple degrees of separation.
