I think the R/S does several things:

increases the PPS but not the value
looks better not to have a billion O/S
leaves room for the future dilution of shares that are being handed out instead of cash on the preferred and bond yields

problem for shareholders is the PPS will tumble back down quickly -imo

It would truly be a turn around story if they saved this company but with the destructive management at hand I just don't see them making it.

so we wait and see- I admit I have been wrong plenty of times in today's markets - it's sad that big board stocks have become as volatile as penny stocks -

back before the housing crash in 2009 SD partnered with OXY Permian in Ft Stockton Tx area and built a co2 processing plant -at the time SD had 40 rigs near by drilling gas wells but that market fell apart and SD moved into to oil and sold the NG assets which was smart - but I have heard nothing else about it - I wonder if SD sold its part of this plant ??? I never saw anything on it if they did.
