Just Energy is losing large amounts of money each year, and shareholders equity is negative by hundreds of millions of dollars.

It is completely insane that they pay dividends (payout ratio of 94%) while they are losing money, and equity is negative.

The summary of quarterly results show they have lost money for the last four quarters from continuing operations.

Even if you took out the effect of the recent $635 million loss on the derivative instruments, equity is still negative.
