KP...You are wrong brother. Heifers do not get ground up...steers do. Heifers grow up to become cows. Surf quoted that 'Cows' come and go but the bulls stay and that prompted me to make my reply.

Cows stay around twice as long on a cattle ranch than bulls do because they can produce a calf every year up to 15+ years old...whereas a breeding bull
only has an active life of 6-8 years on a ranch (depending on breed) and then they are off to the butcher. Just facts. Disclaimer: all bovine will one day become part of the food supply.
