I can't recall the story the spousal_unit and I were reading this weekend, but it seemed so ridiculous. I'll have to see if I can find it. Seems like the world is putting away common sense in defense of political correctness.
Another story was of the waitress who got fired for describing a couple as "the black couple". Is that a fireable offense? Would, "the fat couple or ugly couple or old couple" have been better?
I have gone to plenty of high school football games where I've heard people in the stands say, "that football player can hit!"...."which one?"....."the white kid".
Should I be offended?
Just my opinion, of course.
