EDITED:WOW!!! Fantastic!!!!! The decrease of -14,103,331, (29.58%), shares is the highest reduction of Short Shares in one Short Report that I have every seen in CPST; and in only a 2 week period.
This report shows -21,345,977 short shares less than the highest reported short shares of 54,924,442 in June 13, 2014, shortly after the Russian invasion of the Ukraine. This is a reduction of 38.86% of short shares since the short high.
Short shares now show 33,578,465 short shares which is 61.1% of previous high in June 2014.
Barring any surprises, I will venture to say institutional shorters have capitulated and have shown their hand. We should see more reduction of shorts in following reports, imo.
Of course, shorters going out should indicate reduction in pressure down.
