When a Reverse Split or Ticker Change is done,
What is it called when your shares are basically frozen / un-sellable for days / weeks?

I can't find ANY info at all on how long it typically takes a broker to get your shares, etc.

I just notice a lot of people excited in some OTC plays here over ticker changes, even though they won't even be able to sell if the pps starts plummeting, etc.
