Stupidity, or Cupidity?

There are two explanations for the actions of whomever is making the tiny purchases at the Ask,just before the bell,to inflate the closing price.

1) Stupidity covers some rank amateur willing to risk Federal prosecution in the mistaken belief that he/she is supporting CAPC.

2) Cupidity covers someone wishing to influence the accumulation/distribution line used in technical analysis who can, unbelievably, make all trades for the day appear as positive accumulation even though most or all trades through the day were down as long as the stock closes at, or near the high for the day!

(Oversimplified, but I can present the math if anyone gives a Damn.)
