It's A.C.'s only oceanfront "ultra lounge." The Deck at Scores, which opened for the season at Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort earlier this month, is Atlantic City's only oceanfront "ultra lounge." The decor is done in a Miami-esque motif, with plush couches and chairs, rich colors, a sleek bar and unending ocean views. It's an upscale lounge where by day you'll find guests dropping in from the beach dressed in swimsuits and flip-flops, but at night, they're dressed to impress. It's also one of A.C.'s only lounges that's open seven days a week - all day and all night, as the hours generally range from noon till at least 4 a.m.

Their motto? "It's happy hour all the time!" From noon to 7 p.m., guests can enjoy an "all-day" happy hour. Included in this special are house and specialty cocktails for $6, while beers and wines range from $4 to $6. Because this establishment is related to Robert's Steakhouse, also in the Taj, you can easily surmise that they only serve the best alcohol. The bar features craft beer, wine, champagne, refreshing frozen drinks including daiquiris and pina coladas, and Scores' signature top-shelf cocktails, such as Bird of Paradise, a combination of Tito's Vodka, Cream of Coconut, pineapple and Blue Curacao; or the Blackberry Bourbon Lemonade, which is Bulleit Bourbon, blackberries, lemonade and soda.

You'll eat like a king with food created by the Executive Chef from Robert's. Because The Deck at Scores is owned by the same folks who own Robert's Steakhouse, expect to eat like a king. Food, while not on the happy hour menu, is delicious and reasonably priced. The menu, crafted by Robert's Executive Chef Will Savarese, includes traditional bar bites such as nachos, poppers and beer-battered shrimp, as well as grilled sausage and pulled pork sandwiches, BBQ ribs, flatbreads, salads and a mouthwatering array of burgers and sliders.

Come to people watch or watch sports. This super swanky lounge, with its dichotomous lounging experiences - a relaxing, ocean-side experience by day and a posh, nightlife adventure until dawn - has something for everyone. Come for the scenic views, the delectable food, the live entertainment, the Scores Girls, or the sports, as The Deck has six large, flat-screen TVs scattered throughout the space. Be ready to catch your favorite team play as you catch some rays. And if it starts getting too hot during the game, water misters will keep you cool as the temperatures rise.

It's a great outdoor venue for entertainment. Throughout the season, a broad stroke of entertainment such as DJs and live bands from the tri-state area will create a lively atmosphere multiple nights a week. Guests can expect to be wowed on the weekends by specialty entertainers such as go-go dancers, fire eaters, stilt walkers, magicians, contortionists, violinists and percussionists. Theme-night parties will also be promoted throughout the season. And because The Deck lies adjacent to Scores, it's not uncommon for the Scores Girls to mingle with the crowds. All in all though, the entertainment at The Deck is ancillary; it's really the full experience that keeps folks coming back.
