Weeds measure in the feet surrounding the east entrance and the cement around the pool on the north end of Hotel Marion. Sunbathing chairs, broken cement and other debris fill up a sizable portion of the pool area. Two-by-fours with smaller pieces of wood nailed in by long nails wrap around the inside door handles of four entrances and a thick chain with two Master Locks loops around the outer lobby door to prevent intruders.
Hotel Marion, 501 E. Fourth St., is clearly closed, and if Mayor Wayne Seybold has his preference it will remain that way."
