history shows the feed scheme dates back to 2008. That's when they first said they were getting involved in the animal feed "bidness", and that was in China. $20MM a year in revs was projected over 2 years, but of course that didn't happen.
PASADENA, CA, November 3, 2008-VIASPACE Inc. (OTCBB: VSPC) today announced the Company is focused on commercial farming of its new fast-growing hybrid grass to initially capture a significant share of China's $40 billion market for animal feed. The high-yield grass is ideal for feeding livestock as well as producing cellulosic biofuels, which is a growing market. The recent significant rising of Chinese consumption of meat and dairy products has created a tremendous growth in demand for livestock feed. VIASPACE is aggressively pursuing this near-term revenue opportunity and expects the high-yield grass business to generate $20 million in revenue in the next two years, while it develops the biofuels business in the near term.

Then...out of the blue about 5 years later they make this odd announcement. I think they thought some would forget. But they acted as if they caught some NEW VISION with feed.....
High Protein Animal Feed Is New Large Market for VIASPACE Giant King Grass 08/20/2013
VIASPACE CEO Dr. Carl Kukkonen states, "Giant King Grass was developed as a dedicated energy crop to grow very quickly and tall--14 to 16 feet tall every six months-- and to be used as fuel or feedstock for electricity generation, biofuels and biochemicals. However for anaerobic digestion to make biogas electricity, the grass is harvested fresh at 4-5 feet tall every 45-60 days. The results for biogas production from Giant King Grass are very good. We realized that because anaerobic digestion mimics the process in a cow's stomach, Giant King Grass should be good animal feed as well. Several samples of Giant King Grass were sent to be tested by the Dairy One Forage Laboratory which is an international leader in forage and feed analysis.
