Sin comes at us in all kinds of different ways. Sin often increases power for folks in a social status kind of way...it satisfies our lust...it fulfills our greed...sin promises us a way to get ahead in a dog eat dog world. And satans newest tool of "political correctness" helps us justify our wrong doings because everyone else agrees. Yes, sin most often promises much fun and excitement and it is good at building our pride and ego in the wrong kinds of ways. You see, the problem is this...most sin is fun. Yes...i said fun! If sin wasnt enticing or fun...we most likely wouldnt give it a second thought...well...maybe? Thats why we often get lured in so easily. satan is the master of lies and deception. satan is very good at what he does and when you include the sparkle and glitter of the world...it dont take much often times to turn our heads just long enough for ole man satan and his army of demons to get a foot wedged in the door of our hearts and mind. satan also helps us to justify our wrong doing just long enough for us to think we are ok...then...he turns and rubs it in our face as failures! satan offers to help us in all kinds of ways that seem great at the time but in the end it is always destructive! When satan sees us blink...hes there in a heart beat to try and take charge! However...we cant truly give satan the credit for our downfall. Scripture tells us that not only will God never let any temptation come over us that we cant say no to...He will also provide a way of escape for us! So could it be when we say that we just cant seem to help sinning...that we are calling God a liar because of His promise to us? When its all said and done. We are the person that makes the final decision to do wrong. satan makes it look great..but we are the one that says yes or no! Think about it!
