UNTRUE! Sammy's Tuna Salad & Moonshine Pool Party is not crap. It is a classic. Shot on 8mm filmstock in B/W using a polarizing filter, it was transferred to VHS in 1982 and then the VHS copy was scanned and upscaled by UltraFlix to 4K in 4-bit color last Fall.

It is 201 minutes of spine-tingling suspense as Altovese makes tuna salad for Sammy, Frank, Dean, and Joey as they drink bootleg bathtub gin by the pool. Now true, there is no original soundtrack, but UF took some of DaFoley's DJ dance music and laid down a soundtrack with some overdubbing of scripted lines in native Romanian with subtitles in Bulgarian and Hindi (for the Bollywood audience). There are over 19 straight minutes of nothing but Sammy smoking - that is something you'll find in NO OTHER FILM ANYWHERE! It is unique, and thus must be quite valuable.

Nott only has UF upscaled the 8mm-to-VHS transfer, butt they have also despeckled and colorized it in rich 4-bit color depth and added a soundtrack with music and an improvised script in Romanian.

This is how UF adds value to these classic movies.

Just like Turner Classic Movies - only with unknown, soon-to-be-cult-film materials.

And there's still 697 hours more of Sammy videos to upscale and overdub. This is a huge treasure chest.

PLUS there are all those great D-minus list movies from the catalogs. Alchemy is packed with blockbusters like this one (possibly Uwe Boll's best performance of his entire career!):
