Newelong … Well, …

“if you really want to waste your time, it only takes a little effort to find the 30 or so employees that left”

No Sir, with due respect, the way to waste your time, and ours, is to write a multi-page post with no new information to offer, other than Adaptive has brought an Intern on-board. That's the kind of thing that shameless people do. Reckless people double-down on that shamelessness by denying there is any due-dillegence value in researching exiting employees and their replacements (employee churn).

Here's some actual Adaptive Media employee news. The Lead Developer for the Player who quit and went to a competitor ... their top lieutenant followed him to the competitor within weeks. I'm glad you have 'no worries', I wouldn't care to presume that the current development team has the bandwidth to pick-up-the-slack for three engineers, 2 of which were top-dogs.

Again, the Co-Founder of Ember, and the companies most irreplaceable engineering asset just walked away from this 'great rocket ship of an opportunity' to take a job as a programmer at Google. I'm sure the Google gig is a very good job. That Google gig is no longer, however, an opportunity to get stinking rich. Newelong's response, "What, me worry!?!, Nic Borensztein!"

“I really get a kick out of people here who think they can run Adaptive better than current management.”

Then, again, with all the respect you are due, this would seem to indicate that you get a kick about of, practically everyone, other than yourself and joenatural. Adaptive Media, themselves, believe there's someone out there who can run the company better than current management ... they are, after all, in the midst of a search for a permanent CEO, yes? How is that proceeding, by the way? Perhaps Mr. Akram has proven himself a worthy candidate, presiding over a 80%+ reduction in the stock price. More likely, he has been designed the 'fall-guy'. In my experience, companies ready to up-list to NASDAQ and take-off-like-a-rocket do not have a career project/product manager, with no experience in finance or accounting, as the President/CFO. Don't look behind the curtain, you might see the Great and Powerful Oz.

Maybe that's what, as someone has said, "scam companies do".
